Inspired by Natacha’s work as a dancer, this piece stands to represent her internal visualisations of energy flows and textures used in choreographic processes based on Releasing techniques, which utilise image-guided movement and aim to incorporate an alignment of the whole self within it’s practice. This piece was created in conjunction with another piece named Land of Maybe and Forever which represents the antithesis of Natacha’s disposition and experience as an artist.
“Inner landscape depicts the parts of me that search for simplicity and groundedness which also hold a darker more sober connotation in me. Whereas Land of Maybe and Forever is all about my dreams and aspirations which, in a very innocent and quite childish way, always seem to me to be tangible at first, but once I get to work on those aspirations I realise reality is never part of that picture.”
